I first joined dA on October 11th, 2011. Almost three years ago now. However, my story didn't really begin until December 18th of 2013, when I got my first watcher. Despite having an account for several years, I had only really started to use it towards the end of last year. I started out by posting some old drawings I had done back in 2011.

My art was basic, and to me seemed a little lack-luster. I had taken an art class back in middle school, but since then I had completely forgotten how to even shade properly. Shading today for me is still a disaster, but I'm working to improve. But back to the point. These were some of my first ever drawings to be posted on dA, and some of the first drawings I was truly even proud of.

I've always been a bit different from all the other people around me. I've always been a little shy... Well, I used to be. I'm also a little socially awkward and afraid of large groups of people. When I was a little kid, I was diagnosed with ADHD and a form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome. More recently I've also been diagnosed with a form of Tourettes. No, I don't suddenly start yelling obscenities and stuff like that. For me, it's muscle ticks. Small, involuntary movements that are really more of a slight annoyance than anything else.

But I digress. On December 18th, 2013, I got my first ever watcher, siIvaIIy
On that day, I realized, "Maybe I can actually make something of myself here." So I decided I was gonna work towards that. Part of that goal was posting my story "Sky" here. I'd had the idea for Sky for years. But only recently had I started really thinking about writing it. So I figured, "What better place to post it than on deviantART?"








I started by posting random things I came up with, basically all of which ended up not being in the story. But it was a start. A few months ago, I finally started uploading the actual pages of it. But before that, something else happened.

I started making friends.

One of the first friends I made here was SlyFrostPaw
Since then, I've had the opportunity to meet so many new people. I can't even begin to count how many people I've met. I've had the privilege to get to know and become friends with all of these people:

It's because of all of you that I've been able to get where I am today. As of me writing this, I am currently sitting at 106 watchers. Every time I look at that number, it makes me smile. Not because I want to be famous or anything. No, it makes me smile because it lets me know that someone, somewhere, cares about what I'm creating. And that's all I ever really wanted. My stuff could be viewed by a single person, but as long as that single person genuinely cares about what they're looking at, then that's enough for me! Of course, I'm not saying I don't like a larger audience. Who doesn't?

I'd love to say more, but right now I really just don't have the time XD
I'm going camping and won't be back until Sunday.
